Willowthorns and her familiar, Laviticas, are fictional personas that have been developed over the past Twenty-Five years of their authors role playing experiences, character development, official online game lore contributions and improvised story telling.
Willowthorns serves as both a story narrator and character along side her feathered companion, Laviticas.
A Half-Elven Muse born of forbidden bloodlines and family histories filled with mystery, suspense, romance, valor and mysticism.

Writing under a penname restricts some of the information I can reveal about the author, I will do my best.
I was born and raised in rural Iowa in a middle class family home. My father came from a family of poor dirt farmers and my mother from a family lineage of First American Blue Bloods. I have one older sibling, four children and three grandchildren.
I went to college for Computer Programming, then worked in the Graphic Arts Industry for forty years and am highly knowledgeable in most aspects of the industry.
I am now currently retired due to the impacts of Parkinson's disease and still reside in the great state of Iowa. I have lived a modest fulfilling life that has taken me down the path much less traveled.
Recognitions & Inspirations
Sorcerers, Pirates and...Apes?
My first love for fantasy adventure started with the still motion movies of Sinbad. I was probably four years old the first time I watched it at grandmas. I so wanted to be Sinbad fighting the skeletons. Planet of the Apes would soon follow at about the same age.
The combination of Dungeons & Dragons and When Mom and Dad got me the Atari game Adventure for my birthday is probably what influenced my imagination the most in my pre-teen and teen years.
Multi User Dungeons, or "MUDs" are what had the greatest influence on my interests in writing, storytelling, character creation and role playing. Over half my personas personality is molded by the online game Gemstone IV and it's richly detailed textual reality. Much of my writing can be cross-referenced to the lore of this still operating online MUD.
Honorable mentions would include Tolkien, Terry Brooks, World of Warcraft and many other very nerdy things. Last but very much not the least is my faith in Jesus Christ
